“Arctic Floating University” has become the priority and long term project of the Russian Geographical Society
President Vladimir Putin took part in a meeting of the Russian Geographical Society Board of Trustees, held at the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University. The meeting participants discussed the Society’s activities in 2013 and plans and development prospects for the future. Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the practical results of the projects that had been implemented with the support of the Russian Geographical Society.
«Many initiatives if the Society were designed just for one or two years, but they developed further, got new participants and additional directions», — said Vladimir Putin.
«Arctic Floating University » was called one of the priority projects if the Russian Geographical Society.
Video reports on the most significant results of the work of the Russian Geographical Society were presented at the meeting as well as the new directions of work.
«This is particularly important that young people participate in the project. The opportunity to continue interesting research stimulates young people to move forward and bring their friends to the Russian Geographical Society. Once again I would like to express my appreciation to everybody who supports our initiatives», — said Sergei Shoigu.
